I started sewing when I was a little girl...with scraps of fabric, thread and a needle. I made the most primitive-looking hand-stitched coin purses and doll clothes...but to me, they were works of art! I later learned the basics on my grandmother's treadle sewing machine...and practically everything else that I know about sewing can be credited to 4-H. I received a degree in Home Economics (Fashion Merchandising)...and became a department store clothing buyer, traveling to New York and Los Angeles for markets. When my children were born many years ago, I gave up my *first* career to be at home with them. I seem to have come full circle, and I'm playing with dolls again...and making primitive creations!!
Life is good!
Hugs to my beautiful children who don't find it odd that I dip dolls in coffee...and kisses to my darling husband who puts up with my creative messes!
Make warm memories! Vicki
