Paper Cowgirl

I had the best time at yesterday's Paper Cowgirl event!
always do!!
When you're surrounded by a crowd of creativity ...
engulfed in that much enthusiasm ...
and smothered in a room full of smiles ...
you just can't help yourself!
You're going to have fun!

These are the class kits I put together ...

...and a couple of the amazing ladies who took my class!

I loved seeing how everyone's hearts turned out!

Sandra's darling goose ~ decked out in a rhinestone crown
and lovely ribbons ~ graced the work table ... and kept everyone on task!

I made this heart to give away {door prize}.

And, lastly, I just wanted to say:
Sweet Cindy ~ thank you, again, for everything!
You put your heart and soul into every event...
and it shows! ♥

PS ... There are lots of fabulous Paper Cowgirl classes coming up!
Check out the blog (below) for all of the juicy details.

Cloche Call

I found this great cloche at an estate sale last weekend.

It's really big ... and I simply love it!
I've displayed one of my favorite folk art carved hearts
underneath it for the time being.
{ The heart is mounted inside an antique sewing machine drawer!
It is embellished with vintage knobs and hardware. Fun piece!! }

Chocolate Bunnies

I'm making chocolate bunnies and that means...
spring is on its way!
:::Hippity, hoppity!:::

There are only two types of chocolate that are safe in my house...
faux chocolate (my bunnies!!) and dark chocolate.
I've never been a fan of dark or semi-sweet chocolate.
Chocolate chip cookies? I'll pass!
But milk chocolate?
It doesn't have a chance of survival around me!

So ... for the sake of my waistline,
I'd better stick with faux chocolate bunnies!
:::sigh:::

Smiles,
♥ Vicki
PS ~ If you would like to make your own chocolate bunnies, I do offer the pattern (Chocolate Bunnies #56)!!

Here comes...

Peter Rabbit!

Look who took a big ol' turnip from Farmer McGregor's garden!
Shame on you, Peter!

It's Monday ... and I wish I would hide out in a watering can, too!
But I have too much to do.

So I'd better put on my kicks and hit the ground running...

Happy Monday!

Hearts

Beginning to get my heart on!
Hearts are a favorite theme in my house all year long...
but I love displaying vintage Valentines at this time of year.
This antique Valentine postcard is so sweet
it deserves a place of honor under glass!

These old Valentines are displayed in an antique silver toast rack.

And, of course, I had to make a batch of my signature mended hearts!
It wouldn't be Valentine's Day without them!!

Hugs,

More Buttons

If vending machines were filled with vintage buttons, I'd be broke!
Can I borrow a quarter?

Mended Hearts

I know you must think I've dropped off of the face of the Earth!

I've been busy working on *mended hearts* for a class that I'm teaching.
If you are in the neighborhood (Waxahachie, Texas),
you should definitely sign up for a Paper Cowgirl altered art class.

I guarantee you'll have fun!
Check out the other classes offered in January by clicking here.
Hope to see you there!
