This is why I spent part of yesterday afternoon holed up in a closet underneath the stairs! This was one of over 10 tornadoes that touched down in Texas yesterday ... and it was only a few short miles from my home!! I'm happy to report that we didn't suffer any damage except for a case or two of frayed nerves.

Many folks in neighboring cities, however, weren't so lucky. But, thankfully, no lives were lost as a result of the storm.

Counting my blessings,

So glad your okay Vicki. Been seeing the devastation on TV and my heart goes out to all that have had their lives destroyed. It truly is a miracle that no one was killed.
Blessing to you,

Oh my Vicki!
How scarey.
I hate storms!!
This sure has been a bad year with them, so many tornadoes already this season.
Thank God your family is safe and that no lives were lost in the areas it did touch down in.
We have possibility of tornadoes in today's up coming storms. Reports are they will be moving in around 1pm.
I wonder if they are the same ones that passed through your area? What makes it even worse, my daughter is at school! I hate that. Another reason why Im ready for this school year to get over with, all this crazy weather.

Stay safe.

My daughter and grandson are in the dallas area as well.

Brenda ~ I hope your daughter and grandson are okay! Yesterday was really scarey!! But, thankfully, people heeded the warnings and took cover. Oklahoma has had its fair share of bad weather lately, too. I'm with you ... I do NOT like storms!

Sure is spooky. We had a tornado touch down not far from us near Kenedy about two weeks ago. That was an intense storm. Oklahoma seems to get a lot of tornados. I am hoping that Texas has had enough. We will be here for a couple more months. Then heading back to Colorado.

JoEllen ~ I'm hoping Texas is finished with big storms this spring!! Storms here can be doozies! I bet you'll be glad to get back to Colorado!
