Merry Christmas!

Whatever happened to December?
I've been as busy as an elf preparing for the holidays!
I'm expecting company ... which is always nice.
I still have a couple of presents to wrap...
and baking to do!
But I keep telling myself, "It'll get done!"

I hope everything has been checked off of your to-do list.
In the meantime, take a little time to enjoy the magic of the season.

Wishing you and yours every Christmas delight!
Make warm memories!!

Santa, Baby!

My husband and I have enjoyed collecting Santa Clauses
for as long as we've known each other
... and that, my friends, is a lot of years!
We display many of them on the fireplace mantel in our family room.
This little hand-carved wooden Santa was the very first of our collection.
I gave him to my husband on our first Christmas together after we'd married.
Santa aside ... my most favorite Christmas treasure of all is the
tiny Lladro nativity my husband gave me a long time ago.
This year, I've displayed it beneath a vintage cloche.

Making Magic!

Slowly, but surely, the house is transformed for the holidays.
Boxes and tubs are opened to reveal holiday treasures, trinkets, and baubles!
{I this time of year!}
Snowmen hang out on the snowman tree!
 Santas are displayed here...
 and there...
and everywhere!
Vintage pieces ...
 add whimsy, sparkle and shine!
I've added another tree this year!
{Shh!! It'll be our little secret!}
It is displayed in an antique red suitcase with silver satin lining!
I've decorated it with glittered silver snowflakes and BELIEVE ornaments, silver bells, red candles in vintage silver candle holders, and antique chocolate Santa molds!
How sweet it is to be ready for Christmas!
There is still shopping...
and baking...
where'd I put my list?

Fa, la, la, la, la!!

Happy Saint Nicholas Day!

In honor of St. Nick's Day,
I filled a couple of wooden shoes with chocolate coins and small gifts!
My kids will be here tonight for dinner ...
and we're planning to decorate the family Christmas tree.
I'm also baking snickerdoodles for dessert!  Yum!!

Hope your shoes are filled-to-overflowing with goodness!

Happy St. Nicholas Day!!
